Citizen Development Solution (CDS) works with READ Nepal to provide consultancy services for the effective implementation of “Pioneers for a Green Future: Green Income Prospects for Marginalized Young People.” With financial support from Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V. (ASB) Germany, READ Nepal has been implementing the project in Dharan and Lahan Municipalities of Koshi Province from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2028.
Through its community libraries, READ Nepal provides need-based training and comprehensive programmes to thousands of individuals each year in areas such as livelihood skills, micro-enterprise development, literacy, women’s empowerment, youth empowerment, health education, and technology through a variety of partnerships.
Under this project, CDS provides consultancy services to develop Green Skills Training Manuals and deliver Green Skills training sessions to national-level staff, library facilitators, and selected potential youth entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to equip participants with relevant green skills, promote employment opportunities, and support income generation among young people in Dharan and Lahan Municipalities of Koshi Province.
